Cascabel or 'jingle / rattle' chili is round in shape and dark red, the seeds rattle inside when shaken. It's widely used in Mexican cuisine as based for numerous salsas and marinades, to make chorizo and mole from scratch. It is mild in flavour and heat.
Store in a sealed bag or container in a dry and cool place.

My Mexican Shop is run by husband and wife team, Lily & Alan. He is Irish and she is Mexican and they met in Japan over 15 years ago.
