The majority of Mexicans believe that food without chili is not food at all! Chilies have been eaten in Mexico for millennia, with records found as old as 7000 years B.C. There are about 400 different varieties of fresh chilies grown in Mexico without mentioning all of the dried, pickled and smoked variations. We have put a few lovely ones here for you to try; some are sweet and mild, others terribly spicy, but all delicious. Enjoy!
My Mexican Shop is run by husband and wife team, Lily & Alan. He is Irish and she is Mexican and they met in Japan over 15 years ago. Lily has been living and cooking in Ireland for over 10 years now.
They both share a passion for good food, travel and cooking; When not busy running their business and carrying out other work endeavours, they can be found in their Dublin kitchen, cooking (mainly Lily) and eating (mainly Alan) all sorts of yummy food.
